Six-Woman Tag Match Set For Next SmackDown After Fatal Influence Beatdown Of Charlotte Flair

Jacy Jayne defeated Charlotte Flair in 10:05 on the May 1, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown after a Fallon Henley distraction broke up Flair’s Figure 8. Fatal Influence followed up with a post-match beatdown that brought WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley out for the save and an uneasy handshake with Flair.

The Pre-Match Backstage Setup

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss were being interviewed backstage when Rhea Ripley walked up. Ripley said she had tried to take Fatal Influence on alone last week and got ambushed, and was willing to put differences aside to even the odds.

Bliss was on board. Flair wasn’t.

“Just because we teamed before doesn’t mean we’ll team again,” Flair told Ripley. “All I need is Bliss. Three’s a crowd. I get that you and Bliss have the whole goth thing going on, but no.”

Flair started to leave. Bliss didn’t realize until Charlotte nudged her to follow.

The Match

Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, with Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid) made their entrance after Flair’s, with Jayne cutting a promo on the Tulsa crowd.

“I sarcastically thank the crowd for the warm welcome. I expected nothing less from Oklahoma losers. Last week was just a taste of what Fatal Influence will bring to SmackDown, and clearly somebody didn’t get enough of a taste last week. If there’s anything I love to do, it’s embarrass a legend.”

The match was paced as a near-PPV-quality singles match per multiple recaps. Yahoo Sports gave it 3.5 out of 5. Highlights included Flair hitting a top rope moonsault for a near fall, Jayne landing a springboard tijeras only to get caught in the STO backbreaker / reverse STO combination, and Flair locking in a bridging Figure 8.

The finish came when Flair had Jayne in the Figure 8 and Henley reached under the ropes to pull on Flair’s arms while the referee wasn’t looking. Bliss took out Henley on the floor. Reid attacked Bliss and got onto the apron. Flair knocked Reid off the apron with a big boot. Flair turned around and Jayne hit the Rolling Encore for the pin at 10:05.

The Post-Match Save

Fatal Influence stayed on Flair after the bell. Henley attacked Bliss on the floor. Bliss tried to fight back but was overwhelmed by the numbers game.

Rhea Ripley’s music hit. Ripley sprinted to ringside, dropped Henley with a superkick on the floor, entered the ring, and dropped Reid with a kick. Ripley headbutted Jayne and set up for a Riptide. Jayne slipped out, shoved Ripley toward Flair, and Ripley stopped just short of a collision.

Then came the moment that closed the segment. After a tense beat, Flair extended her hand. Ripley accepted.
