Hype Bros continue to bicker online, Zack Ryder throws out nice burn

When Zack Ryder went out of action due to injury it couldn’t have come at a worse time. The Hype Bros had just become the #1 contenders for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships by winning a mess of a battle royal match. But unfortunately they could not capitalize on this opportunity because Long Island Iced Z needed some time away from the ring to rehab an injury.

In his absence, Mojo Rawley made the best of it as a singles star. He ended up winning the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal during the WrestleMania kickoff show with the help of his famous buddy Gronk and seemed poised to do great things on his own. Then he kind of didn’t do much. Mojo had a couple decent matches but all-in-all he didn’t get to where he wanted to be.

Then Zack Ryder came back and reformed the Hype Bros but it might have been too little too late. Since he was out of action for so long Daniel Bryan deemed their #1 contendership void and made them fight the Usos in a non-title match for a chance to actually battle for the titles. Of course the Hype Bros didn’t win.

In recent weeks it has become clear a Hype Bros split could be on the way. They were featured on a recent episode of SmackDown Live where Mojo eliminated Zack Ryder from a battle royal to earn a shot at the US Title. Although Battle Royals are kind of Mojo’s thing he didn’t win that one either.

On last night’s SmackDown Live, Mojo and Zack appeared on a Fashion Files segment with a Walker Texas Ranger theme. It was hilarious and everyone needs to watch it. But two things were evident in this bit from SmackDown: the Hype Bros still have quite a bit of tension between them and Mojo Rawley didn’t spray tan his hands. Zack Ryder drew attention to the second point in a tweet while proving the first at the same time.
