Solo Sikoa loses first match on WWE main roster, big plans for him this year

Since moving up to the WWE main roster last Fall, Solo Sikoa has been protected.

Sikoa has been quiet since moving to SmackDown from NXT and he’s been booked as an unstoppable monster during his matches.

At last night’s live event in Kitchener, Ontario, Sikoa lost to Kevin Owens via disqualification. In the grand scheme of things, it’s not a big deal but it is Sikoa’s first singles loss on the main roster. In recent months, Sikoa has also had a couple of matches at the live events go to a “No Contest” but this is the first “L” on his main roster record.

The idea is to keep him strong because management is very high on him. WrestlingNews.co is told that there are big plans for him after WrestleMania and he is seen as a guy that could eventually become a main eventer.

The DQ win last night also shows how much they are protecting Kevin Owens. It’s not official yet on TV but things seem to be headed toward KO and Sami Zayn reuniting and challenging The Usos for the World Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania. As WrestlingNews.co first reported many months ago, this has been the plan for a while.
