Tonight on WWE Monday Night Raw, there was a nice tribute to the late great Umaga.
During a post-match attack after the Unified World Tag Team Title match, Sikoa hit Kevin Owens with the Asiatic spike and the Samoan Bulldozer (hip attack) in the corner of the ring. The tribute comes one day after what would have been Umaga’s 49th birthday.
For the younger fans, Umaga was one of the most respected men on the roster in the mid-2000s. After his run in Three Minute Warning, he was repackaged as a Samoan savage character and he went undefeated for months. Umaga was featured in one of the main events of WrestleMania 23 where he lost to Bobby Lashley in the match that was billed as the Battle of the Billionaires with Vince McMahon and Donald Trump at ringside.
The Uso retained the title against Owens and Matt Riddle on tonight’s show. The Usos will move on to SmackDown on Friday where they will defend against Sheamus and Butch. It was announced earlier that Drew McIntyre was being replaced by Butch because McIntyre is not cleared to wrestle.

Awesome tribute to Umaga by Solo Sikoa. "The Samoan Bulldozer" passed away on December 4th 2009, he should be in the WWE Hall of Fame by now… #Umaga #RIPUmaga #TheBloodline #WWE #WWERaw pic.twitter.com/I3q3OzddtP
