There appears to be some good news for Xavier Woods.
Woods has been out of action with an Achilles tear. Those injuries typically require several months of recovery time and, depending on the severity, can keep someone on the shelf for up to a year.
However, according to Reddit wrestling insider looselipsbackstage, Woods is ahead of schedule on his recovery time. In fact, his evaluation date for his injury has been moved up from July to May. So, if all goes well, then he could be back by the summer.
Woods underwent surgery on October 25 after his leg gave out on him during a match in Sydney, Australia in October.
Although he will miss WrestleMania, his injury situation appears to be better than many had expected. Some, including Booker T, noted that an Achilles injury is so serious that some wrestlers are never the same and in some cases, it can be career-threatening. That does not appear to be the case with Woods.
