Son of WWE legend was backstage at AEW Dynamite

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was a special one as it was the Winter is Coming episode of the flagship show of All Elite Wrestling and the continuation of the Continental Classic tournament.

The name

There was an interesting name backstage at the show, which was Umaga’s son, Zilla Fatu, who made his pro wrestling debut for Booker T’s promotion, Reality of Wrestling, this past July at their Summer of Champions event at the Humble Civic Center after training with ROW.

Following the show, the WWE Hall of Famer announced that Fatu and ROW went their separate ways because there were “irreconcilable differences.”

Umaga, a member of the Anoa’i family and cousin of The Usos and Roman Reigns, worked for WWE in the 2000s under various gimmicks. The Umaga run saw him be first pushed as a main eventer before being an upper mid-carder, where he held the Intercontinental Title twice. Umaga passed away in 2009 from a heart attack.

At the show

Zilla Fatu noted on Twitter that he was at AEW Dynamite from Arlington, Texas on Wednesday night, where he was visiting.

As seen below, he shared photos with AEW President Tony Khan, Daniel Garcia, Isiah Kassidy, Nick Wayne, and Chris Jericho.
