Sonya Deville commented on Twitter this evening for the first time since news broke about a stalker showing up at her house.
As noted earlier, Phillip A. Thomas II traveled from South Carolina to Deville’s home in Florida and cut his way through a patio screen. Thomas was later arrested and charged with Aggravated Stalking, Armed Burglary of a Dwelling, Attempted Armed Kidnapping, and Criminal Mischief.
Police said he was carrying a knife, plastic zip ties, duct tape, mace, and other personal items and the man allegedly admitted that he planned on taking Deville hostage.
Deville just tweeted, “Thank you everyone for your love and concern. A very frightening experience but thankfully everyone is safe. A special thank you to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office for their response and assistance. 🖤”
