WWE has posted a video on their social media sites that was shot backstage after Sonya Deville lost to Mandy Rose at SummerSlam.
Per the stipulation, Deville must leave WWE. However, the video below seems to hint at Deville coming back under a different name.
She said the following after she was asked what is next for her: “Do not call me that ever again!”
Bryan Alvarez reported that as of Friday afternoon, the plan was still to do a Hair vs. Hair match at SummerSlam. SmackDown was rewritten twice and it was decided a few hours before the show to do the Career Ending match. The assumption is that Deville will be taking some time off to deal with the legal case against her stalker. If she returns, it would make sense for her to use her real name, Daria Berenato.
For what it’s worth, Vince McMahon reportedly still wants to do a “Hair vs. Hair” match but it may be with other wrestlers.
