Sonya Deville talks Mandy Rose being selfish from day one in WWE

WWE Superstar Sonya Deville recently appeared on WWE’s The Bump. The former best friend of Mandy Rose appeared on the WWE Network show to discuss a number of topics from her recent career in the company, including her ongoing feud with the aforementioned Mandy Rose.

“If you look back at mine and Mandy’s relationship in WWE? Hindsight is always 2020” Sonya would begin on the show. “If you look back to the relationship between Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville? Everything has always been about Mandy.”

Deville would elaborate further, saying “she’s been selfish from day one, it’s always been the Mandy show, it’s always has been. I’ve always played second fiddle, and it’s not by choice but it’s just what happens when you’re around Mandy Rose. She can’t be in a room and not be the center of attention.”

Sonya would then comment on one of her character’s biggest mistakes. Back in 2019, Rose and Deville were informed on SmackDown that there was one remaining spot in that year’s Money In The Bank ladder match. Both women agreed on-screen that Mandy Rose should take the spot and enter the match, during the match Deville tried to help Rose climb the ladder and reach the briefcase, but she was unsuccessful.

“So, a moment, a specific moment in time? I mean, I would say maybe when I carried her up the ladder in Money In The Bank last year,” Deville revealed. “And she still COULDN’T grab the belt and wasn’t grateful that I gave her my opportunity in the Money in the Bank ladder match. Which, by the way? Very dumb decision, would never do that again but you know you live and you learn.”

Mandy and Sonya’s rivalry appears as though it will be ongoing throughout the summer. With the buzz behind the Mandy and Otis storyline, it is likely that WWE will want to capitalize on when crowds will once again be able to enter arenas, giving the storyline the best possible chance to get a huge reaction from a live crowd.
