It looks like the rumors about Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake going into this year’s WWE Hall Of Fame class are correct.
New York/New Jersey’s Z100 is running commercials hyping the WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony and the entire 2019 class is listed, including Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake.
The ad copy was sent by WWE so this confirms what was reported several weeks ago by the @WreslteVotes wrestling news account. Last week, we wrote about Hulk Hogan and Beefcake being flown in for WrestleMania weekend. It would not surprise me if Hogan was the person chose to induct his best friend.
It’s interesting that no celebrity inductees have been announced for this year. Cindy Lauper would have been the ideal celebrity inductee since she played such a huge role in getting publicity for the company during the months leading up to the first WrestleMania.
Beefcake will join The Honky Tonk Man, Torrie Wilson, D-Generation X (Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chyna, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, X-Pac), The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart), and Warrior Award recipient Sue Aitchison as part of this year’s 2019 class of inductees.
This year’s ceremony will take place at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Saturday, April 6.
