SPOILER: Main event revealed for WWE NXT Halloween Havoc

WWE held a set of TV tapings for the NXT brand on Wednesday night, where they taped the September 20th and 27th episodes.

During next week’s episode, JD McDonagh defeated Tyler Bate in a #1 contender’s bout. Post-match, Ilja Dragunov came out to have a staredown with McDonagh and NXT Champion Bron Breakker.

On the September 27th episode, there is a promo exchange with all three stars. Dragunov wanted a title match, but McDonagh took issue with that because he’s the #1 contender. Breakker came out, and McDonagh suggested a match between Dragunov and Breakker with the winner earning the right to defend the title against him.

Breakker threw out the challenge of a triple threat match with the title on the line at Halloween Havoc, with both stars accepting the challenge.

It was previously revealed that Halloween Havoc would be a Premium Live Event this year, taking place on Saturday, October 22, from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL.

Fightful Select reported on Wednesday that WWE is bringing back the TakeOver name for NXT specials. It’s still unclear when WWE will start using the name again, but the report did state that “Takeover shows are on the horizon.”

You can check out the spoilers for both shows here.
