Over the last week or so, we’ve been talking about the upcoming roster and announce team changes on the way with a draft scheduled on the week after SmackDown moves to FOX.
It’s been reported that Corey Graves would only work on one brand because of WWE’s plan to do a hard split for both shows to minimize the talent going back and forth between brands.
The @WrestleVotes insider wrestling news account has provided an update on the announcing situation.
According to @WrestleVotes, the plan is for Graves to move to SmackDown with Michael Cole and it looks like it will be a 2-man announce team.
There’s no word yet on what the Monday Night Raw announce team will look like but it was previously reported that Vic Joseph is has been talked about to become the lead announcer for Raw on USA.
There are still questions on where this leaves Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton, who are on the current SmackDown announce team.
As noted earlier, Renee Young could be moving from Raw if she ends up hosting the WWE studio show planned for Fox Sports 1 on Tuesday nights.
WWE has not said anything yet about these changes but everything should become official within a few weeks during the draft.
The draft will begin on Friday, October 11th on Friday Night SmackDown and conclude on October 14th on Monday Night Raw.
For what it’s worth, a recent video shoot may have already spoiled some of the wrestlers that are expected to move from Raw to SmackDown. Click here if you want to see who was part of the SmackDown video shoot.
