WWE announced on Friday that Brock Lesnar will get his rematch against Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the Day 1 pay-per-view in Atlanta. However, that will not be the end of the feud.
It was previously reported that the plan is for Reigns to face Lesnar in a rematch at WrestleMania and that still appears to be the plan because their match at Day 1 is part of a series of matches.
Dave Meltzer reported the following today: “Regarding Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar as the main event for Day One, this is scheduled to be a multi-match series and this being one of the matches in the series.”
Lesnar is also scheduled to be part of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. If WWE books Lesnar to get screwed again at Day 1 then that could lead to Lesnar entering the Men’s Rumble match and winning to set up the final match in the series at WrestleMania.
By that time, Reigns would have broken the all-time record for consecutive days as Universal Champion so he could lose the title to Lesnar at Mania.
