Spoiler On A Planned WWE Title Change

WWE has teamed up with Twitter/X for a new digital show called “WWE Speed,” a concept they initially tested last December. At the pilot taping, WWE taped a few matches where they were booked for five minutes, including Bronson Reed defeating NXT’s Nathan Frazier and Cedric Alexander defeating Axiom.

They had Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick on commentary for the show. WWE shopped the show around, which is something WWE did years ago on Facebook with the “Mixed Match Challenge.” Twitter picked it up a few months ago as part of a new agreement.

Before SmackDown went live on FOX Friday night, WWE taped two weeks’ worth of Speed, where there was a title change. The reason for the double tapings is that the WWE crew is going to Scotland next week for Clash at the Castle.

For next week’s show, Andrade beat Tommaso Ciampa to move on to a championship match with Ricochet. They taped a second bout, which will air on June 18th, that saw Andrade beat Ricochet to become the new WWE Speed Champion.
