Last night on Monday Night Raw, WWE began planting the seeds for the breakup of The Miz and John Morrison.
Morrison was not happy because he was not told that Miz had actually been cleared weeks ago and Miz was not happy about Morrison walking out on him during his match last night.
Apparently, WWE is going to take their time with the break-up because there are plans for Miz and Morrison to begin a new tag team feud soon.
During the Raw recap on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez pointed out how Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston were seen in the background while Miz and Morrison were talking. Alvarez suggested that perhaps they are setting up a match down the road. Meltzer confirmed that Miz and Morrison will be feuding with The New Day soon.
Meltzer said, “that is the program that they’re going to. They were running around in the back. Miz and Morrison were doing the promo and Kofi and Xavier are like behind them and it’s supposed to be like ‘oh, they got caught on camera when they were hanging around. They had a thing up that said ‘buy our shirts’ and things like that. It’s like the beginning of something, yeah.”
As seen in the video below, Miz and Morrison said they would be doing something at SummerSlam so that could be when the feud officially kicks off.
