All indications is that John Cena’s first opponent since winning the WWE Title at WrestleMania 41 will be Randy Orton.
On Monday’s WWE Raw, the company shot an angle in which Orton attacked Cena. This seemingly set up a title match at Backlash on May 10th.
WrestleVotes reported today that this match will headline Backlash and be billed as “one last time.” It marks the first time they’ve wrestled each other one-on-one since February 2017 at a New Mexico house show.
The two top stars had a legendary rivalry in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

This will be their first singles match since 2/11/17, when they headlined a house show in New Mexico.
