2018 is almost here and you know that means that WrestleMania season is upon us. This is the time of year when we start hearing about potential candidates for the WWE Hall Of Fame. Dave Meltzer reported several weeks ago that Batista was one of the names being considered but there were always questions about his availability with his movie schedule. Batista still wants another big WrestleMania match so perhaps they could tie in his induction with a final match at WrestleMania 35.
Most of the names for the 2018 class are out. Conservative blogger Brad Shepard, the same guy who broke the news about the potential XFL revival, is reporting that a former WCW/WWE Champion is next.
Here is the list:
Bill Goldberg – headliner
Bam Bam Bigelow – WWE has a rule to only induct one deceased wrestler each year
Ivory – WWE has a rule to induct at least one woman every year
Dudely Boyz – one of the most decorated tag teams in WWE history
Kid Rock – celebrity inductee. He’s had a friendship with WWE for years dating back to the late 90’s.
So there you have it. Those are the first 5 names and there’s likely a couple of others that will be added, including the recipient of the Warrior Award.
EXCLUSIVE: The 2018 class of the WWE Hall of Fame is currently as follows:
Bam Bam Bigelow
