SPOILER: Top WWE star seen arriving in Japan to shoot a big angle for NJPW

Chris Jericho was spotted arriving at Haneda Airport earlier today. As noted on Wednesday, the belief is that Jericho will be back working with New Japan Pro Wrestling, likely at Friday’s Wrestling Dontaku show at the Fukuoka Convention Center to continue his angle with Tetsuya Naito. The belief is that Jericho’s next match will take place next month at the Dominion show in Osaka.

In recent weeks, Jericho has been saying publicly that he was done with New Japan Pro Wrestling and hinted that there was a money issue. Obviously, that was a smoke screen to keep his return a surprise.

For those of you wondering, Jericho is currently not under contract with WWE. His appearance at the Greatest Royal Rumble was a one-shot deal. NJPW is looking to get a major star signed for their big show at the 10,000+ seat Cow Palace in San Francisco. I would not be surprised if they approach Jericho to see if they can book him on that show. They are also hoping to get Rey Mysterio on that show.
