If you don’t want the news spoiled then I would suggest that you don’t continue reading. The latest former Impact Wrestling stars are starting up with WWE this weekend. Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis will start on the road with the Smackdown crew in the next couple of days. PWInsider reports that they might debut at Sunday’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view. They are expected to be on Smackdown Live so they could hold off on their debut until Tuesday night instead of the pay-per-view but either way, they will be in the mix very soon.
Following their departure from Impact Wrestling, Bennett and Kanellis’ names have been rumored to be WWE-bound for months. This would be Bennett’s debut with the company and Maria’s return after leaving back in 2010. Bennett is a former ROH World Tag Team Champion and former TNA X-Division Champion. He and wife Maria were one of the top acts on Impact Wrestling last year before deciding not to re-sign with the company.
They are the latest in the long list of names to leave Impact Wrestling. This year, they’ve lost names like Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Drew Galloway, Crazy Steve, and Gunner. Crazy Steve and Gunner are expected to start up with WWE soon, likely on NXT.
