In their storylines, WWE has been pushing the notion that Baron Corbin will likely win by forfeit because Braun Strowman will not be cleared to compete in time for the TLC pay-per-view. The stipulation for the match is that Strowman will get his Universal Title rematch against Brock Lesnar if he can defeat Corbin. However, Corbin could become the permanent Raw General Manager if he wins.
PWInsider is reporting that Strowman is scheduled to be at this Sunday’s TLC pay-per-view so it looks like there won’t be a forfeit as Corbin has been saying in storylines. At this point, there is no word on if Strowman is cleared but if he is not then they could always have Strowman do one spot to quickly squash Corbin. They have announced 12 matches for the show so it’s possible that at least one match will end quickly.
Strowman has been off WWE TV after undergoing minor surgery on his elbow. According to a company source, he is still scheduled to face Lesnar next month at the Royal Rumble.
