SPOILER: Update on two more top matches set for WWE Extreme Rules

There are just 2 episodes of Raw left before Extreme Rules but most of the matches have yet to be announced.

Last week, we broke the news on plans for two more matches scheduled for Extreme Rules. We were told that Kevin Owens would take place inside of a steel cage and Dolph Ziggler would defend the Intercontinental Championship against Seth Rollins. The steel cage match stipulation would explain why Owens was running away from Strowman because the cage would mean that he would have nowhere to run or hide when he faces Strowman one-on-one.

The PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh has updated the card on their website and it confirms what we reported last week. The matches are listed on their website but have yet to be officially announced on WWE television.

The plan has been for a 6-Pack Challenge to determine the number 1 contender for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship. However, as seen this week on Monday Night Raw, Kurt Angle announced that those plans changed because of a snag in contract negotiations with Lesnar. He hinted that we could see Roman Reigns vs. Bobby Lashley but it was never announced.

As of now, these are the matches that have been announced for the show:

WWE Championship
AJ Styles (Champion) vs. Rusev

Raw Women’s Championship
Alexa Bliss (Champion) vs. Nia Jax

Raw Tag Team Championship
Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt (Champions) vs. The B-Team
