Zack Ryder is backstage at tonight’s SmackDown Live TV event and is expected to make his return on the show, according to PWInsider. Ryder, who has been out of action with a knee injury since December, has been training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL over the last few weeks to prepare for his in-ring return.
Also, there has been talk about doing a big angle involving American Alpha on the show in order to bring them back into storylines.
WWE holds tonight’s show in New Orleans, LA at the Smoothie King Center. This will be the go-home show for this Money in the Bank pay-per-view. WWE has already confirmed that WWE Champion Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton will have a face-to-face segment. Matches that have been announced include AJ Styles, Sami Zayn & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler & Baron Corbin in six-man tag team match, Charlotte Flair vs. Natalya in a singles match, Tamina vs. Naomi in a non-title match, and The Usos, Primo & Epico vs. Tyler Breeze, Fandango & The New Day in an eight-man tag team match.
