One WWE star is returning from injury this week, and that’s Sami Zayn.
WWE sources tell us that the company has told Zayn that he will be back on television this week. WWE will hold Monday’s episode of Raw in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center. This will be the post-WrestleMania 35 episode of the red brand. Historically, this show features surprises and some NXT stars being called up to the main roster.
Zayn has been preparing to make his comeback after being sidelined for several months. The WWE RAW star was last seen when he suffered a loss to Bobby Lashley at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena last year that aired on WWE’s streaming service, WWE Network.
Zayn underwent shoulder surgery to fix a torn rotator cuff. In late December, WWE announced that Zayn would be returning to in-ring action shortly but did not provide a date. Obviously, that didn’t happen as Zayn has yet to return.
Another star is slated to make his return to television as John Pollock at Post Wrestling is reporting WWE is scheduled to start running vignettes for former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt and they will start imminently. For more on that story, you can check it out here.
