It looks like WWE has a stacked episode of Friday Night SmackDown planned this week.
In addition to Goldberg, The Bella Twins and the hype for Super ShowDown, PWInsider is reporting that Sasha Banks is scheduled to be at Friday Night SmackDown this week. She hasn’t been on the road with the company since January and was scheduled to be in the Women’s Royal Rumble but was replaced a few days before the show because she was not cleared to compete. Kelly Kelly ended up being her replacement.
Although the nature of her injury has not been confirmed, Banks has hinted on social media that she’s been dealing with an ankle injury. During her time off, she filmed some scenes for the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” and she’s been in the music studio working on an upcoming project.
With WrestleMania coming up soon, it will be interesting to see what the creative direction is for Banks since she is not currently scheduled to be in the SmackDown Women’s Championship picture for Mania. Click here for news on plans for the SmackDown Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania.
