WWE was in Winter Park, FL at Full Sail University on Wednesday for the NXT TV tapings. Here are the spoilers.
Dark Match: Oney Lorcan defeated Tino Sabbatelli.
Spoilers for the July 27th episode:
– Singles Match: Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Blake. Post-match, NXT GM William Regal announced that Nakamura would face Samoa Joe for the NXT Title at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn.
– Singles Match: Billie Kay defeated Santana Garrett with a big boot.
– Tag Team Match: TM61 defeated Rizen and Nailz.
– Singles Match: No Way Jose defeated Steve Cutler. Post-match, Jose cut a promo about Austin Aries and how he is a coward. Jose says next time they meet, he will whoop Aries’ ass.
– Singles Match: Kota Ibushi defeated Murphy.
– Samoa Joe cuts a promo about facing Nakamura at Takeover. Joe calls Nakamura an undeserving contender. Regal comes out and says his decision is final. Joe said that his is the biggest mistake Regal has ever made. Joe says if he sees Nakamura before Takeover, Nakamura won’t make it there. Nakamura interrupts and taunts Joe from the stage.
Spoilers for the August 3rd episode:
– Singles Match: Hideo Itami defeated CWC competitor Sean Maluta.
– Bayley cut a backstage promo about Asuka and said that she has been watching the NXT Women’s Champion. Asuka told her to watch her in action in person.
– Singles Match: Asuka defeated Aliyah with Bayley on commentary. Post-match, Asuka wouldn’t let go of the Asuka Lock so Bayley ran down to the ring to make the save.
– Bobby Roode walks down to the ring and cuts a promo about how he is finally in NXT. Roode said that he is here to take NXT to the next level and that he is the new face of the brand. He said that he will have Presidents and business men attending NXT shows and not loser fans. Roode said that he looks and acts like a superstar. Roode vowed to make NXT glorious.
– Tag Team Match: Revival defeated TM61. Post-match, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano walked down to the ring and demanded a Tag Team Title shot. The Revival said that they didn’t deserve a title shot and to go back to their basements. Ciampa and Gargano attacked them and stood tall with the titles to end the segment.
– Mojo Rawley vs. Chris Atkins ended in a No Contest when Samoa Joe ran out and destroyed both men. Joe cuts a promo about destroying Shinsuke Nakamura. Mojo runs back in and attacked Joe. This led Joe attacks him on the ramp and locks in the Clutch until referees pull him off.
Spoilers for the August 10th episode:
– There was a contract signing between Asuka and Bayley in the ring for their match at NXT Takeover. The segment ends with Bayley slapping Asuka and running up to the stage.
– Tag Team Match: Authors of Pain defeated Rizen and Nailz. Post-match, Authors of Pain continued to beat down Rizen and Nailz until TM61 ran down to make the save but was beaten down by Authors of Pain. American Alpha runs down and clears the ring with big suplexes.
– Singles Match: Andrade “Cien” Almas defeated Angelo Dawkins. Post-match, Bobby Roode walks down and congratulates Almas not for his win but that the fact he will face him at NXT Takeover.
– Singles Match: Billie Kay defeated Liv Morgan.
– Tag Team Match: Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa defeated Tucker Knight and Patrick Clark.
Spoilers for the August 17th episode:
– Singles Match: Hideo Itami defeated CWC competitor Mustafa Ali.
– Six-Man Tag Team Match: Carmella, Liv Morgan, and Nikki Glencross defeated Daria, Mandy Rose, and Alexa Bliss.
– Singles Match: Samoa Joe defeated Mojo Rawley via submission. Post-match, Joe puts the hold back until Shinsuke Nakamura ran down to make the save. Security and referees run out to keep a fight from happening, and hold Joe back while Nakamura taunts him, to close the taping.
