WWE taped tonight’s edition of NXT on Thursday, January 5th, 2017, from Winter Park, FL at the Full Sail University. Here are the spoilers for the show:
— William Regal walked out and announced that Asuka would defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Billie Kay, Peyton Royce and Nikki Cross at NXT Takeover: San Antonio. Cross, Kay, and Royce walk out to the ring. Asuka runs out and attacks them. After all the security guards are dispatched, Asuka nails a spin kick on Cross. As Asuka is leaving, Cross dives from the top rope to the floor on her and the security guards.
— Singles Match: Aliyah defeated Mandy Rose.
— Singles Match: No Way Jose defeated Kona Reeves. Post-match, Elias Samson walks out and plays him a song.
— Singles Match: Eric Young defeated Chris Atkins.
— Tag Team Match: Tajiri and Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode. Post-match, Chris Hero, who is now going by the name Kassius Ohno, walked down to the ring and had a staredown with Nakamura.
