This past Monday night on WWE Raw, Matt Riddle issued a challenge to Roman Reigns for an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match.
During Raw Talk, Riddle did a segment where he said he was going to SmackDown this week and find Reigns to get his match. WWE currently doesn’t have anything involving Riddle on the SmackDown preview article. Reigns is also no longer listed for tonight’s SmackDown on WWE’s website.
"This Friday, I'm gonna show up to #SmackDown and eventually I'm gonna find the Tribal Chief. I'm gonna get my match. I'm gonna do what stallions do and take that championship away, bro."@SuperKingofBros has a message for @WWERomanReigns, @HeymanHustle and @WWEUsos on #RAWTalk! pic.twitter.com/hgwodU7doi

Fightful Select reported today that as of Thursday night, Riddle was still slated to appear on the show to pursue his feud with The Bloodline.
They heard there was a pitch on Thursday for Riddle to be involved in an angle with Sami Zayn. Although the details are still few and far between, one of the angles presented would see Zayn making an attempt to get Riddle off of SmackDown by beating him in a match with the stipulation that if Zayn wins, Riddle is barred from Smackdown.
As previously reported, WWE nixed plans for Reigns to defend the title against Riddle at the Money in the Bank once they moved the show from Allegiant Stadium to the smaller T-Mobile Arena due to weak ticket sales.
Reigns’ next PPV title defense will be against Randy Orton at SummerSlam. Should WWE go forward with Riddle facing Reigns then it will happen on television.
