Stephanie McMahon on WWE’s plans to go back to one night for future WrestleMania events

WWE started the trend of holding WrestleMania over the course of two nights last year. They’ve already confirmed the dates and locations for future events as well.

WrestleMania 37 takes place across two nights on April 10 and April 11 in Tampa, FL.WrestleMania 38 will take place Sunday, April 3, 2022, at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, TX and WrestleMania 39 goes down on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Sofi Stadium.

Stephanie McMahon recently talked with Scott Fishman of TV Insider about WrestleMania returning to a one night show in 2022.

“We want to maximize the value. The two nights are unique to the times [pandemic]. We have plans to go back to one night for future WrestleMania events, but of course we will see what happens this year. We want to deliver the best possible value we can for our fans who are hopefully able to attend and for those watching all around the world.”

WrestleVotes noted that the company expects to have 25,000 fans in attendance each night for WrestleMania 37. McMahon stated the obvious about wanting fans in attendance as the Super Bowl will allow WWE to make an informed decision regarding it.

“There are a lot of unknowns [because of the pandemic]. We’re very fortunate the Super Bowl [is at] Raymond James Stadium [because] will be a lot of key learning from the NFL and the local organizing committees. We’re still in the planning stages for all of that.”

McMahon also talked about why they announced details on the next three Manias beforehand and more. Check out the full interview here.
