Stephanie McMahon has been a strong personality within the WWE that has pushed for the company to take women more seriously.
Thus, with the possibility of history being made at WrestleMania 35, the daughter of WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon is confident that women can deliver if given the chance in this position.
McMahon recently spoke with The National while in Abu Dhabi for the start of the 2019 Special Olympics World Games this week. This is where she made it known that WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat Match should be given the opportunity to headline this year’s show.
“It would mean more to me then I could describe for our women to be the main event at WrestleMania,” Stephanie said. “Charlotte, Ronda and Becky could do it this year. There is so much momentum behind the story. They are so incredibly talented. I know they would deliver. But what I will say is that I hope it is the first of many.”
WWE will hold WrestleMania 35 on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium and be broadcasted on their streaming service, WWE Network.
