Stephanie Vaquer Made In-ring Debut At WWE House Show

It didn’t take Stephanie Vaquer long to work her first match in WWE, days after joining the promotion.

Vaquer, real name Ana Stephanie Vaquer González, did so on Saturday at a show in Mexico.  As previously reported, WWE is not planning to change her name. It’s always possible that things will change in the future.

This comes after she left CMLL and NJPW for WWE after receiving interest from AEW, where she reportedly received a notable offer from the promotion to sign. As a result, she pulled out of her scheduled dates and was stripped of the CMLL World and Tag Team Titles.

CMLL and NJPW were upset with how Vaquer handled her departure. Vaquer was on WWE’s radar after she dropped the NJPW Strong Women’s Title to Mercedes Mone at Forbidden Door last month.

At the show, Vaquer defeated Isla Dawn, one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Post-match, she cut a promo saying she was living her dream and honored to be with WWE. It’s still unclear when she will make her NXT TV debut.
