With such an organic rise that former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has had in the WWE, many fans have compared her to WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin.
The WWE Legend talked about these comparisons during a recent interview on MMA Tonight. This is where he stated, “Well, I guess she is if everybody is saying she is. She does remind me a lot of myself.”
Austin would continue by stating that if you line up the women’s and the Attitude Era roster, he doesn’t think anyone would pick him or Lynch out of the lineup. Austin would praise her for what she is doing and believes she’s the hottest thing going right now
“She’s not a person whose dwelling on this being the most athletic match in the world. She’s a great worker in the ring, but it’s character driven.” He would add that The Man gimmick that Ric Flair created has been presented in a different way by Lynch. “Obviously, she’s a female, it’s an awesome gimmick and it’s money.”
