Steve Austin continues to tease appearing at WWE WrestleMania 41 in 2025.
WWE wanted him to do a run-in during the WrestleMania 40 – night 2 main event, but he declined. Instead, WWE had John Cena and The Undertaker appear during Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. This was when The Bloodline, Seth Rollins, Cena, and Taker got involved, as Cena laid out Solo Sikoa while Taker choke-slammed The Rock.
Austin previously stated that Mania would be in Vegas next year, so he wouldn’t have to leave his home. This led to speculation that he might wrestle at the show, which will take place on April 19 and 20, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium in Nevada.
While speaking with Adrian Hernandez, Austin stated that WWE did ask him about making an appearance and noted that he hopes to be at the 2025 event.
Austin said, “It was close (almost appearing at WrestleMania XL), and they certainly reached out to me, and we had conversations, but my wife and I had some things going on that I didn’t need to go to Philly at that time. But I have said, I missed that ‘Mania, and God dang, Philly was a good town for me back in the day and I appreciate those fans. [I] couldn’t make it down on that one, but WrestleMania this year’s in Vegas, and I was doing an interview a while back, and I said, ‘Hey man, that’s 400 miles. That’s like right here, where we’re sitting. Right down the road. I’m fixing to drive back to Reno in my buggy.’ But anyway, it’ll be in Vegas. So, I hope to be there this year. If he (Cody Rhodes) needs another hand, I mean, I’ll be there.”
