As noted, WWE announced on Monday that Sting is the first inductee in the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame class. Sting has since taken to Twitter to comment on the news. He posted the following:
“Well it’s official – I have accepted the invitation to be inducted into the WWE HOF! HONORED!!!!”

Sting wrestled his first WWE match against Triple H at WrestleMania 32 and in his last match in WWE competed against Seth Rollins for the WWE Title at the 2015 Night of Champions PPV event. Sting suffered a neck injury during the match with Rollins.
The 2016 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place on Saturday, April 2, the night before WrestleMania 32, at the American Airlines Center in Dallas at 6:30 p.m. local time. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m. ET/9 a.m. CT.
