WWE Hall of Famer Sting recently did an interview with Sports Illustrated where he spoke about still wanting a match that has eluded him in his pro wrestling career.
That contest is a match with The Undertaker. In fact, Sting is willing to listen to an idea to get to that match as he still thinks he can get into shape to work another match.
However, Sting does understand that his career is likely over and the match won’t happen.
“If there was a Taker situation at WrestleMania, I would listen to that phone call,” Sting said. “I could get in condition and I could pull it off.”
“I think my career is done,” Sting said. “I still think about the Taker situation every year, but I don’t think it’s going to happen.”
Seth Rollins wrestled Sting at the 2015 Night of Champions PPV, which was Sting’s last match after he suffered a neck injury after taking a powerbomb in the corner.
Sting has spinal stenosis, which means he likely won’t get cleared to wrestle again.
