Sting Has Signed Multi-year Licensing Deal With AEW

Sting has signed a new deal with AEW, but it’s not to wrestle.

In February, Sting’s career ended as he and Darby Allin successfully defended the AEW Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks in a Tornado Tag Team Match at the AEW Revolution 2024 pay-per-view event from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC.

This was Sting’s retirement match, as Sting went over with the scorpion death lock on Matt Jackson.  He later made an appearance at All In, walking down to the ring to save Darby Allin at All In.

While appearing on  Kayfabe Friends, Sting revealed he has signed a new licensing deal with the company. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sting said, “I signed a multi-year deal with AEW. Obviously, not to wrestle anymore. It’s like a licensing deal, a legends deal if you want to call it that. I’ll do appearances with them on and off depending on what they want and all.”
