Sting recently appeared on Dallas Cowboys’ Talkin’ Cowboys show to talk about various topics. During the interview, he was about how he became a pro wrestler. He noted that he grew up in a little town in Southern California and didn’t watch wrestling when he was a kid. He noted that when he was first approached about becoming a wrestler, he didn’t know what it was. He said that a big guy came into his gym one day and people would freak out when he did. It turns out that the guy was Hulk Hogan.
The last match that Sting had in his career took place at the 2015 WWE Night of Champions PPV event against Seth Rollins. Sting suffered a neck injury in the match. When asked about wrestling one more time, “I always wanted that Undertaker match. I think wrestling fans it’s a dream match for them, it’s a dream match for me too, but I just don’t think it’s going to happen.”
Sting also talked about this week’s Cowboys game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and more. You can watch his appearance on the show here.
