“Sting: The Lost Tape” special on WWE Network will include never-before-seen footage

Although Sting is no longer under contract with WWE, that hasn’t stopped WWE from airing a new special on the WWE Hall of Famer. It’ll air on WWE’s streaming service, WWE Network, on Sunday, May 31st.

WWE Network News is reporting that this new program titled, Sting: The Lost Tape, will feature never-before-seen footage of Sting from the WCW Slamboree pay-per-view event in 1995.

At this show, he took on Big Bubba Rogers in the semi-main event. You can see the synopsis here:

“Featuring never-before-seen footage and interviews, cameras follow Sting backstage before his big match at WCW Slamboree 1995.”

In recent weeks, there’s been speculation that the WWE Hall of Famer could be headed to AEW. The reasons for that are due to him not being under contract with WWE, recently praising Lance Archer, and Cody Rhodes dropping some teasers.

In fact, Archer did a recent interview where he stated that he thinks Sting could “absolutely” contribute if he joins AEW. You can check out that interview here.
