UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic did an interview with Chris Van Vliet to discuss a wide range of topics including Brock Lesnar.
Ever since it was revealed that Lesnar is no longer under contract with WWE, there’s been speculation that he could fight again. While it’s not certain that he would return to the UFC, Bellator MMA President Scott Coker has tried to reach out to the former UFC Heavyweight Champion to make a fight with Lesnar against Fedor Emelianenko.
Whenever Lesnar is going through talks with WWE about a new deal, he uses the UFC as leverage and teases making a return.
Miocic is currently awaiting his next fight which could be against #1 contender Francis Ngannou or against former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, who just made the jump to the heavyweight division.
Miocic has previously expressed interest in doing a fight against Lesnar and did so yet again in this interview.
“Yeah, I’ll fight anyone. There’s no question. I don’t care. I would take that fight in a heartbeat.” He later stated, “It would be an early night for me.”
When asked if it would end in one round, he said that he’d figure it out as he loves that fight. He noted that you never know if it’ll actually happen, but stated “we’ll see.”
Miocic also talked about his trilogy with Daniel Cormier, winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship, how his training has changed due to COVID-19, his next opponent, who he thinks is the greatest Cleveland athlete of all time, and much more.
