WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin doesn’t seem too interested in a return to the squared circle. Despite having their best days behind them, plenty of Attitude Era stars still compete inside the squared circle today. Stars such as The Undertaker, Kane, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and more are still going strong in the ring.
The Rock has even wrestled a few times since leaving WWE full-time and becoming one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. There’s also a chance “The Great One” wrestles again in the near future. However, one man WWE fans would love to see come back for one more match is Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Austin hasn’t wrestled since his retirement match in 2003 at WrestleMania 19, losing to The Rock. Speaking on a recent episode of his podcast, “The Steve Austin Show,” Austin explained why he’d rather not make an in-ring return at this point in his life:
“People ask me, they say, ‘hey Steve, everybody’s making a comeback. HBK’s back, Triple H’s back, Undertaker’s back. They’ve got The Brothers Of Destruction. They’re heading over to Saudi Arabia.’
“I’m like, ‘okay, so if I did come back, do I want to come back as being the 53 year old ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin or the ass-kicking ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin? I want them to harp on my ass-kicking, not my age.”
