The man formerly known as Wade Barrett is now going by his real name, Stu Bennett, as he moves forward with his life post-WWE.
Bennett wrapped up his WWE career in June after spending 9 years with the company. While he has removed wrestling references from his bio and his main focus seems to be on soccer, he has not closed the door to wrestling at some point in the future, if/when the time is right.
Several months before he announced that he was leaving WWE, we had heard that he was interested in becoming a soccer analyst in the United Kingdom. Bennett grew up as a Preston North End fan and his vast knowledge of the game will come in handy if he gets an analyst gig.
I can see a TV network giving him a shot since he has a great on-camera presence and his years on the microphone in WWE gives him an advantage over many up and coming TV analysts. Also, it doesn’t hurt that he brings in a dedicated fanbase. If that doesn’t work out for him then I could see him getting some movie roles. It’s a shame that WWE has missed the boat on Bennett but we are glad to hear that he is doing well after WWE.
Oh, and new Twitter handle : @StuBennett – the other guy is dead and 'buried'.
