A video is currently circulating on social media showing WWE Superstar AJ Styles interacting with a fan who attempted to get him to sign a replica AEW World Championship.
While Styles was polite during the exchange, he ultimately declined to sign the title belt. In the video, Styles addressed The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) directly regarding his refusal.
“Nick, Matt, I love you,” Styles said. “Can’t sign this, though.”
Styles and The Young Bucks have a documented history of friendship stemming from their time working together in New Japan Pro Wrestling, where they were stablemates in the Bullet Club faction.
Styles has previously stated that he intends to retire from in-ring competition in 2026. Although his contract status often leads to speculation among fans, Styles has expressed a desire to transition into a behind-the-scenes role with WWE following his retirement. Based on these comments, it appears unlikely that Styles will make a move to AEW after hanging up his boots.
Given his current employment with WWE, signing a championship belt belonging to a direct competitor would likely be viewed unfavorably by management.
AJ Styles was asked to sign the AEW Championship and instead sent a message to the Young Bucks😂👏🏽
