Avery Styles won his Game Changer Wrestling debut on Friday night, beating Alex Lev at The Top Play at the Admiral Theater in Omaha, Nebraska.
The 19-year-old son of AJ Styles finished the match with the spiral tap, the move his father used as a finisher during his TNA run and largely retired as his career went on. He made his entrance to “Demi Gods,” the theme AJ used before signing with WWE.

The rest of the match leaned the same way. Styles worked in several of his father’s spots, including a shooting star attack off the apron, a sliding elbow and a reverse DDT.

Marcus Mathers confronted Styles after the bell. The two meet tonight at GCW Rude Awakening at First Avenue in Minneapolis, the second of the two dates GCW announced for Styles when it booked him on July 9. Both shows stream on TrillerTV+.
Friday was five weeks after Styles’ first professional match. He debuted on June 26 for Squared Circle Action in Royston, Georgia, against Ashton Martin, with his father in his corner.
AJ Styles retired from in-ring competition earlier this year after losing to Gunther at the Royal Rumble. He has not ruled out a return.
