WWE superstar AJ Styles has sparked a wave of speculation about his future after posting a cryptic image to his social media that seems to hint his career could be winding down. The post, which features an hourglass with his iconic “P1” logo fading to dust, has fans worried that the end of his in-ring career may be coming sooner than they thought.
The former two-time WWE Champion posted the striking image. It shows a classic hourglass, but instead of sand, it is his “P1” logo that is falling and turning to dust at the bottom. The hourglass is a well-known symbol for time running out, and the visual of his own logo fading away has been interpreted by many as a clear sign that he is contemplating retirement.
Styles has been open in the past about his retirement plans. When he signed a new contract in 2019, he stated at the time that he believed it would be the last one he would ever sign. However, his career has continued, and Fightful Select reported in July of this year that he had signed a new one-year contract extension with WWE.
The 48-year-old has also spoken about his plans for after his in-ring career is over, revealing his desire to open his own professional wrestling school in his home state of Georgia. He has been a top star since his debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble, holding multiple championships.
