Tanner Saraceno talks about Tough Enough and who WWE wanted to win the show

Dave Meltzer mentioned on this weekend’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that talked with former WWE Tough Enough competitor Tanner Saraceno at Friday’s World MMA Awards.

Saraceno told Meltzer that all of the sit-down interviews were totally scripted. He recalled having to do several takes of a specific interview because the producers didn’t like what he said in the interview.

Saraceno said that it was obvious to him that WWE wanted Josh to win the show.

WWE wanted Amanda to win the show as well, but Sara Lee ended up being popular with fans, and it backfired on WWE. Amada was later hired by WWE and goes by the name Mandy Rose. She appears on the current season of Total Divas.

Saraceno was not hired by WWE because they told him that his promos weren’t good enough and that he should make a name in MMA first. Saraceno won a fight against Tommy Metzger in November. He is set to make his pro-MMA debut next month.
