WWE Legend Tatanka has announced some exciting news for his family, revealing that his son Joseph has earned a tryout with the company at SummerSlam.
Tatanka, who signed a WWE Legends contract in 2015, shared the news in a celebratory Facebook post featuring two photos of his sons, Joseph and Jeremiah. The first captured the boys as children posing backstage with Jimmy and Jey Uso at a WWE event, while the second showed them years later training at Natalya’s Dungeon 2.0 facility in Florida.
“So proud of our boys! There’s nothing you both can not accomplish!” Tatanka wrote. “From visiting at a PPV with The Usos and Superstars of the WWE years ago to now training at the Dungeon 2.0 where Joseph has received an official try-out at SummerSlam and Jeremiah will be right behind him since he’s only 17 years old currently.”
The proud father went on to rattle off his sons’ impressive athletic resumes. “Joseph, an elite football player and state runner-up in powerlifting and Jeremiah as a sophomore has accomplished winning a state championship and three-time national championship in wrestling,” he wrote.
Tatanka also leaned into his family’s heritage, dubbing them “THE FIRST BLOODLINE” and noting that his sons are official members of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, of which he is also a citizen.
A star in WWE during the 1990s, Tatanka first gained fame for a lengthy undefeated streak on television, where he was presented as a proud Native American warrior. Should Joseph impress in his tryout, he could become the latest second-generation talent to follow a famous parent into the company.
