The longest reigning Knockouts Champion in Impact Wrestling history has signed with WWE.
PWInsider reports that Taya Valkyrie is on her way to the NXT brand and it’s expected that she will be announced as part of the next round of signings. Valkyrie was backstage at the recent NXT tapings.
Valkyrie, the wife of WWE star John Morrison, has been wrestling since 2010 after training at Lance Storm’s Wrestling Academy.
She was briefly under a WWE developmental deal in 2010 before being released. She wrestled for several years in AAA in Mexico and her first national exposure in the United States came when she wrestled for Lucha Underground.
Valkyrie moved to Impact Wrestling and became a top star there as the longest reigning Knockouts Champion in company history. She finished up with the company last month when it was revealed that she was the person who shot John E. Bravo.
Valkyrie is among several women expected to be announced in the next round of signings.
