Ted DiBiase Wants To See His Son Ted DiBiase Jr. “Come Out Of The Crowd And Get In The Ring” At WrestleMania 42

On the latest episode of Everybody’s Got A Pod, WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase floated the idea that his son Ted DiBiase Jr. could potentially return to the ring during WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas, even hinting at a possible run-in.

Ted Jr. is booked to appear at WrestleCon at the Horseshoe Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip during WrestleMania 42 week. While discussing the booking with DeAngelo, the Million Dollar Man brought up the fact that several of the wrestlers Ted Jr. came up alongside in WWE, including Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, are now headlining the show.

“That’s great. I don’t know, I think Tony Hunter booked him, but I’m not sure. The other thing is, all the guys that he was, that he started with, they’re there, and they’re the stars now. Orton, Cody. So I just wonder, maybe it’s me wanting to see something happen, see my son kind of come out of the crowd and get in the ring.”

DiBiase emphasized that the comment was speculation on his part rather than any kind of inside information.

“All those fans that are listening, believe me, I don’t have a clue. I’m just maybe, maybe wishful thinking. Like, okay, maybe this is the start of him coming back and getting back in the business. I wish he really, I mean, he’s not too old to still do it.”

Marcus DeAngelo agreed that fans would love to see it happen and said it was something to keep an eye on heading into WrestleMania weekend.

Ted DiBiase Jr. was a WWE main roster talent from 2008 to 2013, where he was best known as a member of Legacy alongside Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. The faction worked the headline angles of that era, including Orton’s WWE Championship feuds and the famous Triple H program that culminated at WrestleMania 25 and 26. Ted Jr. has been mostly retired from in-ring work since leaving WWE in 2013, although he has made occasional independent appearances over the years.

WrestleMania 42 takes place Saturday April 18 and Sunday April 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton headlining Night 1 and CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns headlining Night 2. WrestleCon runs throughout the week at the Horseshoe Hotel on the Strip, where both Ted DiBiase and Ted DiBiase Jr. will be appearing.
