Teddy Long might have spilled the beans on MVP’s WWE return

We noted on Thursday that MVP was one of the names that WWE reached out to and we were told that a deal was agreed upon. MVP denied the report on social media but today we were sent an audio excerpt from Teddy Long’s interview with The Gerweck Report.

Long said, “I was with MVP this weekend and I talked to him and, as far as I know, he was going back. He did tell me that he signed and they were sending him to Pittsburgh. They send everybody to the doctors to check you out.” Long is referring to the standard medicals that all new and returning talent has to go through before they sign their contract.

MVP is not the only name that has been contacted. Shelton Benjamin and Curt Hawkins are believed to have agreed to new deals and Pro Wrestling Sheet broke the news about WWE’s talks with Jinder Mahal.

MVP’s tweets can be read below. I should note that the rumors about him being at the Royal Rumble or the WWE Draft were not reported on this site. Also, MVP shot down rumors about his signing with TNA back in 2014 shortly before he made his debut with them.
