Former NWA and ECW World Heavyweight Champion Terry Funk has pulled out of this weekend’s Big Event convention in New York City.
Funk has been booking more appearances of late and did one last weekend at LAX Fan Fest but has noted that he is struggling to move around because of an abdominal hernia he suffered a couple of years ago.
Funk is also scheduled to appear in Philadelphia for the Icons of Wrestling Convention and Fanfest on April 11th. That booking is still on as of now but that can change depending on how his body is feeling.
It is great to see Terry out whenever he can. In addition to his health issues, he has been struggling to recover from a broken heart following the death of his wife Vicki last March. We wish nothing but the best to one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time.
