Best wishes are out to former NWA World Heavyweight Champion and WWE Hall Of Famer Terry Funk.
It was reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the 76-year-old legend recently contracted COVID-19 but he is doing fine.
Funk, who is currently in isolation, believes that he got the virus after attending church.
Funk is considered by fans to be one of the greatest names in the history of professional wrestling. Several weeks ago, he was scheduled to do his first interview in two years on John Arezzi’s Pro Wrestling Spotlight Live on Facebook but Funk pulled out and said he would reschedule for a later date.
Funk’s last match was in 2017 and hasn’t made many public appearances since that time because of health issues. Funk plans on doing meet and greets when it’s safe to do so after the pandemic.
